Course Description: G402 Incident Command System (ICS) Overview for Executives/Senior Officials

Introduction to the Incident Command System for County / Municipal Elected Officials and Officers
Explain what ICS is, The roles and responsibilities of the County/Municipal elected official during an incident, Familiarity to ICS terminology, Explanation of incident sizes & complexities, Differences between the on-incident ICS organizations & activities and the activities accomplished by Emergency Operations Centers, Area Commands, and Multiagency Coordination Systems, Explanation of the administration, financial, and reporting implications of large scale incidents. Delegation of Authority to on-scene Incident Commanders.
