This one-day course highlights the concepts and interaction between two disaster management systems: the Incident Command System (ICS), and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Both elements will be studied as integral parts of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) required in disaster response. Discussion will examine issues in communication, coordination, and decision-making, enabling participants to properly plan for response and recovery.
Prerequisites: IS-100, IS-200 (or IS-200.HC), and ICS-300
